We’ve been spending the past 4 days in White Beach just adjacent to Tasman National Park (different from Tasman Abel National Park in NZ)…
The Park has dramatic cliffs and caves…

and just beautiful coastline…

So we got to do some really awesome hikes…

There’s a really unusual spot called the tessellated pavement, that looks like someone actually laid pavers along the water, but it’s all natural…

We stopped by a wildlife refuge to see some Tasmanian Devils. They look pretty cute until you see them open their mouth. They have really sharp teeth … 😬

Their favorite food is wallaby - so pretty sad for these guys…

There were wild Rosella parakeets hanging around that will come and eat out your hand. One was fun… two was cool…. But three was A LOT!

The next cove over from where we are staying is the ruins of Port Arthur, an experimental colonial penal colony where the worst prisoners were shipped in. Kinda the Tasmanian version of Alcatraz. A lot of interesting history…

… the weather changes on a dime here, but the upside is that we got a double full rainbow!

We leave tomorrow for Maria Island.
