I am a bit behind on our travel posts. We spent 6 days in Sydney with weather that was pretty much 50/50. Our airbnb had an amazing view of the harbor and the opera houseā¦
Unfortunately, that was about all it had going for it. Not my fav š¬. The city zoo overlooks the harbor and has a very successful breeding program where they are trying to bring back the koalas since the 2019 āBlack Summerā bushfires that devastated so much of the population. I could have spent all day watching them! SO cute!
We got lucky with a nice evening of weather, and took the ferry across and saw a show at the opera houseā¦
Checked out the historic āRocksā marketā¦
Got out of the city, and hiked some of Blue Mountain National Parkā¦
Did a coastal track from Bondi Beach (sadly the place of the recent mass shooting) - but the coastline was amazingā¦
Checked out the botanic gardens with these crazy white fig trees ā¦ the one Tom is standing under is a single tree!
Sydney is a beautiful city. On to Malaysia next!
