We are spending the week in Melbourne which is a big change from the last month we’ve spent in Tasmania…

We just missed the Australian Open, but we had to stop by for a visit anyway…’

It really is a beautiful city, but there are things to see outside of the city also. Yesterday, we explored The Great Ocean Road which connects Adelaide and Melbourne, along the southern coast. Feels a lot like the Pacific Coast Highway in CA…

The Port Campbell National Park was amazing…

Dramatic coastline for days with rock formations that are supposed to resemble the 12 apostles? Hummm… Didn’t see it - but still spectacular!

Got to see some cool wildlife. Saw our first full size Kangaroos (not Pademelons or Wallabies!). These guys were big!

And some cute little Koalas just hanging out in trees along the road! Not hard to spot - just looked for all of the other tourist stopped along the side of the road pointing up into the trees. Guess it’s a universal thing - just like Yellowstone 😂

We stopped here to hike a bit of rainforest…

It was beautiful …but it was just a bit too dense and couldn’t stop thinking about our encounter with this guy in Freycinet…

It was a long day anyway, and we decided we had seen enough! 😅
