We took a short stopover in the coastal town of Raglan. A really cool laid back town…

that is mostly known as a surfing spot…. Tom threatened to take a surfing lesson, but started studying his surfer code and opted for a pic next to the sign instead…

We also hiked up to the Bridal Veil Falls…

A really pretty spot… where we also spotted a very large fresh water eel. No snakes here in NZ, but this guy was pretty scary looking (check out the fangs!)

Heading back over to the east coast tomorrow and Waihi Beach.

Our last west coast sunset in NZ. Time is flying fast here!
