We spent the day driving through Texas....

... a very long day... looking at a lot of scenery that looked like this...

Old oil fields that have been converted to wind turbine farms...

Not much else around ... good thing we were well stocked for our road side picnic lunch...

Finally made it to the New Mexico border as the sun was setting

Carlsbad Caverns tomorrow!
