Today we headed up to Cape Tribulation - the most northern part of Australia where the rainforest meets the reef…

My hair hygrometer said we were definitely in a rainforest! 😂 ….

We did some hiking through the Rainforest which fortunately had some very nicely maintained raised boardwalk areas, so we did not have to hike through mud or worry about snake encounters for the most part…

… and then we headed to beach to see if we could spot some “Salties” (saltwater crocodiles)…

… but the sign was the closest we came, and the same for the Cassowaries!

Tom was jealous of Al’s Cassowary encounter at Mossman Gorge, so he decided to create his own….

I actually think the “real ones” don’t look real either, but Tom was ready for his photo op with his matching shirt just in case. Would have been cool to see one - at a distance - they really are supposed to be very mean.

Anyway, pretty sure any Cassowary encounter would have been similar to the Asian Water Monitor experience we had in Singapore! 🤣

Getting lots of mileage out of this one!
