We’ve had an amazing week here in Taha’a. Today was a our last full day before we head to Bora Bora…

Taha’a is a bit more off the beaten path than Bora Bora,…. It’s just stunning… and felt a bit like “fantasy island” (the only thing missing was Ricardo Monteblaun and Tattoo) You know … these guys…

Except it was real life…

We have definitely enjoyed our little overwater bungalow…

Polynesian night was fun and the locals are very friendly and welcoming…

… and Tom has decided he wants to become a fire dancer!

… and he found his own Gillgian’s island…

(That’s Bora Bora in the background - next stop!)

Just off the beach has been some really pretty snorkeling …

These guys like to hang around underneath the overwater bungalows, but they are really small… luckily we haven’t bumped into mom or dad yet…

We took a trip over to the mainland and did an ATV tour with a local tour guide up into the rainforest where they grow all of the produce for the island…

… and yep - Tom drove!

We thought we got lost, but we stopped and asked for directions and this cow helped us out…

Stopped at the local distillery to support the local economy, and bought some rum…

Pretty sure the health department hasn’t inspected in awhile, but the alcohol content in this rum takes care of that and would get our cow friend drunk in no time!

So of course we bought some!

Taha’a has been amazing. Looking forward to seeing what adventures Bora Bora has in store for us!
