We left Able Tasman yesterday and headed to Marlborough Sound. We quickly got settled into our new Airbnb (getting good at that by now)…

Got up early this morning and picked up a water taxi to get to The Queen Charlotte Tract. Took us about an hour to get there, but it was a beautiful ride through the sound, and we got dropped off at a beach where Captain Cook used to hang out quite a bit… (enough to get his own memorial I guess)….

We had until 4:00 to meet the water taxi (which turns out is also the mail boat) on the other end of the tract. It was a full day of hiking…

But we made it to the pickup point before the mail boat (good thing!)

It was a fun day of hiking but honestly my feet are now the happiest they have been all day, and the views from here aren’t so bad either…
