We had an amazing time this past month with Kelsey and Ben in Chicago. They were great tour guides and definitely showed us the city!

Enjoyed walking and biking along the lake and the riverfront…. Ben even got me on the tandem!

Loved the botanical gardens…

Even stayed up late enough to enjoy a few nights out on the town and pretend we were young and hip… a few comedy shows, a concert… and a play at an historical theater…

We were even lucky enough to catch the Chicago Marathon. It passed right in front of our apartment, and we were less than a mile from the finish line so that was even more exciting…. Saw the #1 male runner go by so fast, and he wasn’t even breaking a sweat! … and a parade downtown

Even a wine festival … wait what? Yup, a wine festival. The wine was just okay, but we still had fun. The final verdict … Chicago should just stick to deep dish…

The month passed way too quickly… tomorrow we leave Chicago for adventure #2. The Pacific Rim!
